Functional Wood-Fired Pottery

Each pot unique in shape, material and kiln placement. The process of clay being exposed to wood fire, imprints the flame’s journey, onto the surface. Each batch reflects the location I am working in, as I travel nation wide to extract material, process and fire.

Bundjalung Country, commercial clay, fired in the inaugural firing of the ‘Sofiagama’ built by Gyan Daniel Wall. Camphor Laurel wood used for glaze and fuel, found in over abundance to the area.
